CALL FOR CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS Beyond Silent Spring: Striving toward Personal and Environmental Health Co-sponsored by: Centre for the Environment (Brock University), Breast Cancer Research and Education Fund, Niagara Healthy Environment Initiative, The Saunders-Matthey Cancer Prevention Coalition & The Breast Cancer Prevention Coalition Conference 2004 Deadline: February 29th , 2004 Abstracts are invited for the sixth annual conference of the Breast Cancer Research and Education Fund, to be held May 1st , 2004 at Brock University, in St. Catharines, Ontario. The conference aims to promote understanding of the links between environment and human health. More specifically, it will facilitate exchange of information about resources for living with breast cancer, research concerning, and strategic actions for prevention. Proposals are welcomed from researchers, community agencies, and academics. Presentation topics may span from the personal to the political; practical prevention strategies to strategic community action. Your presentation style may be standard or innovative; participatory workshops, debates or panels, team presentations, narrative or multimedia approaches are welcome. All presentations should appeal to the intended audience: individuals/community organizers interested in the health & environment connection, women living with breast cancer, and women interested in breast health.
