----------------- HES POSTING ----------------- CALL FOR PAPERS The Department of Economics of the University of Siena, Italy, announces the 2nd Workshop on the History of Economics to be held on November 26-27, 2004 at the Certosa of Pontignano near Siena. The Workshop aims to provide an opportunity for young scholars to discuss their research work in an open and conversational setting. Only proposals from scholars at both predoctoral and postdoctoral levels will be considered. There is no limitation regarding subject or time period covered. The Workshop will consist of the presentation and discussion of four papers. There will be two sessions, giving each presenter 45 minutes for presentation; discussion will take a total of 45 minutes including comments by two discussants. A good working knowledge of English is obviously essential. The Workshop is organized by Luca Fiorito (University of Palermo), Roberto Romani (University of Teramo) and Carlo Zappia (University of Siena). The Workshop Board is composed of Marco Dardi, Marco Guidi, Tiziano Raffaelli, Philippe Steiner, Roy Weintraub and Donald Winch. Applications consisting of a c.v. and a two-to-four-page paper description must be received by June 30; selected scholars will be notified by July 15. The deadline for submissions of full papers is October 1. All papers will be circulated in advance through the workshop website: http://www.econ-pol.unisi.it/isep04.
