Well, I don't mind contributing one of my own to this survey.  It's from a 
book review published over 20 years ago when I was nastier than my present 
mellow self: 
 
At the end of the review I remarked that "...one can only read with dismay 
the statement on the reverse of the title page: 'Clothbound editions of 
Princeton University Press books are printed on acid-free paper, and 
binding 
materials are chosen for strength and durability.'"
