We would like to acknowledge the effort of all grantees in bringing new investigators and trainees to tobacco research. For one third of grantees in current competitions this is their first success in CTCRI programs. Among them are: Lynne Baillie, British Columbia Cancer Agency; Andrea Jurisicova, Mount Sinai Hospital and Louise Winn, Queen's University.
