The Mark Twain Papers and Project of The Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley,
will be closed December 2004 through January 2005 in order to move from
its current location to temporary new quarters. MTP is moving because The
Bancroft Library building will be undergoing seismic retrofitting and
renovation during 2005-2007. In February 2005, MTP will reopen at 2195
Hearst Avenue, 3rd Floor, Berkeley, CA 94709, where it will remain until
The Bancroft reopens in its newly renovated building. During the
two-month closure, no materials in the MTP collections will be available.
However, once MTP has reopened in February, all of its collections will
once again be available for research.
