The History of Economics Society invites nominations (including self-nominations) for its Best Article award for 2004. Deadline for nominations is January 17, 2005. Please send a copy of the article that you wish to nominate to the chair of the Best Article committee at the address at the end of this posting, along with a brief note explaining your reasons. For your guidance, here is a statement of the criteria used by previous best article committees: "We are looking for a paper that makes an original contribution to discourse in the history of economic thought.
