The deadline for proposals for the Young Scholar sessions at the 2006
HES conference at Grinnell College June 23-26 has been extended until
February 28th.

Eligible candidates who have not submitted a proposal
should do so by that date using the Young Scholar Registration form

http://eh.net/HE/HisEcSoc/carchive/HES2006/yspaperreg.shtml

Those accepted for the Young Scholar sessions will receive free
registration, a conference banquet ticket, and a year's membership in
the society. Those receiving Young Scholar awards will be notified by
mid-March. In addition, a limited amount of funding is available to
cover accommodation costs for a few Young Scholars. In order to be
eligible for this additional support, a candidate must 1) have
submitted a proposal by the Feb. 28th deadline and had it accepted for
the Young Scholar program, 2) send a copy of the paper being presented
(not just the proposal/abstract) to the HES President, D. Wade Hands,
via e-mail by April 15th. Those receiving the additional award will be
notified by May 15th.
