Several of our townships wrote history books and Trillium funding was available.  I agree with Ellen.  You should contact a Trillium representative in your area to find out the details.  Good luck.  If you need any further help, let me know and I can tell you what our townships did for funding.

Subject: Grants for writing local histories?

A patron from Stirling, Ont., has asked if I can recommend any avenues for funding a local history project. They are looking to produce a book to mark their village's 150th anniversary and are hoping to find a grant to offset the production costs. Can any one on the list suggest government agencies or other organizations that might provide grants for this sort of thing?
