Stop me if this has been uttered before, but does the US involvement in liberating Cuba that eventually led to an unpopular occupation of the Philippines with imperial overtones more than superficially mirror the liberation of Afghanistan from the Taliban and the eventual occupation of Iraq? I'm looking for all perspectives, and if possible, direct relations with writings like "To the Person Sitting in Darkness." Alex Effgen
