For the occasion I vistied the Twain House, the guides should have been prepared for more than the general public. During the Fall Twain Symposium of 1992, we were given a special tour in the morning before the house opened to the public. Among those in this group were Louis Budd, Jim Cox, Michael Kiskis, Harold Kolb, Jim Zwick, Jeffrey Steinbrink, Kerry Driscoll, and the Director of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library, to which the missing, re-discovered manuscript of _Huckleberry Finn_ had recently been returned. Marianne Curling, the Curator, did not seem to be intimidated. John H. Davis, Ph.D. Chowan College Murfreesboro, NC
