We invite you to join some of this country's leading black yoga
teachers at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies
( http://www.eomega.org) the weekend of September 21-23, 2007
for "Roots, Rhythm and Soul," the first ever yoga gathering for black
people focused on the potential impact of yoga on health and the
socio-cultural politics of race in America. We will look at the health
issues that adversely affect the lives and longevity of black people,
i.e., stress, hypertension, diabetes and obesity and explore how yoga and
other holistic practices can help abate and alleviate these conditions.
Our weekend retreat will also include time for pampering, relaxation and
community building.
