In regard to Hal Bush's recent Forum comment about the Hannibal conference, that "some pioneering editor might like to gather some of these comments for posting in some illustrious journal," I should point out that John Bird, the intrepid pioneering editor of The Mark Twain Annual, and Ann Ryan, his newly recruited associate editor, are constantly on the lookout for worthwhile articles on Mark Twain--whether from the Hannibal conference or from some less glamorous point of origin.
