It is my pleasure to announce that York University is to host the LeaderShape®
Institute over our ‘Reading Week’. This is the first time a session
of
LeaderShape® is ever to be held in Canada. LeaderShape® is an intensive,
six-day, educational experience designed to enhance the leadership capacities
of young adults, by promoting values such as integrity, diversity and
creativity.
This unforgettable experience will take place
over ‘Reading Week’
(February 10-15, 2008) and will encompass the following curriculum and
values:
Building Community
The Value of One, The Power of All
Challenging What Is and Looking To What Could Be
Define a personal vision for positive global contribution
Develop a “Breakthrough Blueprint” to achieve this
LeaderShape seeks to improve society by inspiring, developing and supporting
more people committed to leading with integrity
There are 22 positions currently available. Priority will be given
to students
in 2nd or 3rd year, who are in good academic standing and are actively
contributing to the York community.

All applicable costs (including all program costs, transportation, accommodation
and food) will be covered by the Centre for Student Community and Leadership
