Following the recent e-mail I sent out with respect to the internships, I have been receiving a number of enquiries from students with respect to details, hence decided to send this out.

Presently I am unable to provide you with details of what will be available - these items are under discussion with the various organizations. However rest assured that after your applications are received they will be screened to ensure all applicants meet the criteria stated below. The selected applicants will be invited to an information session giving details of the opportunities available. Students will then be able to decide which ones they would like.

Volunteer Student Internships - Winter 2009




I am happy to inform you that the School will have some student internships for the next semester i.e. Winter 2009 and invite applications from eligible students for the same. Please keep in mind that these are unpaid internships, but the experience you receive in the field related to what you are studying in the BHS program will be invaluable.

Deadline to apply : Thursday, December 11th, 2009

Eligibility criteria: HLST 1010 and HLST 1011 or HLST 1000 6.0
HLST 2020
HLST 2030
HLST 2040
HLST 3010
ADMS 2300 6.0
for Policy students - POLS 2910 6.0 +preferably HLST 3120 3.0
Management students - ADMS 1000 3.0 + preferably HLST 3230 3.0
Informatics students - ITEC 1000, ITEC 1010 + preferably HLST 3341 3.0

If you are interested in being considered for these internships, kindly submit a hard copy of an up-to-date CV and a transcript to Domenica Lam (the graduate program assistant) by the deadline date of Dec. 11th, 2008. Domenica's office is located in Rm. 409 HNES.

I will be away on vacation from Dec 4th until January 16th, so anything slipped under my door will be missed.
