List members may be interested in a recent novel by (I think) Martin Amis,
The Arrow of Time, which was about a Nazi war criminal--dying on the
operating
table and suddenly beginning to live his life backwards, knowing nothing
about what he had done and eventually figuring it out. Interesting. I
"read" it
as an audio-book and it was truly disorienting since even conversations
happened in reverse occasionally. Wonder what Twain would have thought
about it?
