Some Canadian statistics are here: http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/11f0019m/11f0019m2005240-eng.pdf -- it has some comparison with the US, although it was done back in 2005. I'm sure I've seen more recent Statistics Canada material on income quintiles and trends within Canada as well.

Do you have Canadian stats  -- including other minority group/classes? I do not know how US statistics compare to Canadian statistics, and that too not limited to just " black and white" persons.

Same as what "Play Across Boston" study w/ Harvard School of Public Health researchers found 10 years ago, and on and on across America.
