26-WEEK INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO RECENT POST-SECONDARY GRADS AGED 30 AND UNDER!
The Co-operative Internship & Experience Program (CIEP) is run by the Ontario Co-operative Association, in agreement with Service Canada. We are currently recruiting
recent university and college graduates for a 26-week paid work placement, set to begin on March 11th and end on September 9th, 2011.
This program is designed to help youth who are recent post-secondary graduates and are under-employed, to launch their careers.  Throughout their internships, they will develop both personal and professional skills under the guidance and mentorship of a host employer. Interns will be exposed to a varity of tasks and special projects in order to gain transferable work skills and experience.
Eligible candidates
MUST meet the following criteria to apply and qualify for the program:
    1.     Be 30 years of age or under
    2.     Hold a degree/diploma from an accredited university or college
    3.     Not be enrolled in school
    4.     Not in receipt of EI benefits
    5.     Are legally entitled to work in Canada
    6.     Have never done a Youth Employment Strategy (YES) intership through HRDC
Only those candidates who meet the above critera will be considered for this program. Interns are required to complete the full 26-weeks of the program, as well as attend a mandatory 3-day skill-building conference in Guelph Ontario on March 30th, 31st and April 1st. (Note: All travel/accommodations/meals will be covered and/or reimbursed).
