The Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal, Missouri, announces its first Mark Twain
Conference to be held in Hannibal August 11-13. Some highlights:

          Barbara Snedecor - Director, Center for Mark Twain Studies, Elmira
- Speaking on her PhD work on Livy Clemens

          Hal Holbrook - Speaking on his career - Also filming in Hannibal
for his biography

          Bob Hirst - Director, Mark Twain Project, University of
California, Berkeley - Mark Twain's Autobiography and Mark Twain updates



Papers - 19 presentations are offered on stimulating Mark Twain topics
