Dear Twain List-- I apologize for sending a personal email to the whole list. I should know better, seeing as I run a listserve of my own (on American Humor and humor studies: http://groups.google.com/group/american-humor?pli=1). And since I was prospecting for material from Henry Sweets, I may as well keep digging and encourage you all (again) to consider contributing to the "Humor in America" blog: http://humorinamerica.wordpress.com/ As I said to Henry, if you have project coming up (a book, CD, conference), let us know and please consider writing something up on it for the blog. Currently, there is a nice essay up about Grace Paley, a reprint of a Michael Kiskis essay on "Huck Finn," an article on feminist humor featuring Shelley Fisher Fishkin, and a collection of links to humor stories online. In the next few weeks, we will be publishing a piece on wit and humor in radio comedy by Sam Sackett, an interview with Don Nilsen (founder of the ISHS), and (I hope) a piece on Cactus Pryor, a legend of Austin comedy life. Our contributing editors are working on pieces about stand-up in New York, Roseanne, and other topics that will surely be worth reading. And please consider subscribing. I promise not to bug people via these lists very much longer. Best, Tracy Wuster On Wed, Aug 31, 2011 at 6:46 PM, Tracy Wuster <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Henry, > > This looks exciting.
