A friend in Bellingham, Washington sent me this notice. Thought
some of you might be interested in reminders of how Twain got
around.  Arianne Laidlaw

A MUSICAL TALL TALE BY JOSEPH LENZ
DIRECTED BY CHRISTOPHER KEY & NEVADA HUAUTE

*
Dear Roseanna,  * *

*Mark Twain in Fairhaven Opens Thursday Night*
Read a Review Here<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001jv4wvS95nAX30jtjYBBwzWD3KpgeHWk6fi_myz0AwhC8_wW0MMru1yHbBigOSSupMXzJ8h-5f8iiFtGWeLExQce7ZYPAXX9wNfrdjtLgMxHWH7umrQ6_5gZhrForVM6lrjhUU-J-cwM=>

When local playwright and historian Joseph Lenz wrote his "musical tall
tale" Mark Twain in Fairhaven, he probably never guessed it would be 10
years before it would actually be performed in its namesake locality. But
after I saw the production Christopher Key directed at the Pioneer Museum
in Lynden in 2009, I asked myself the obvious question, "why hasn't this
ever been done in Fairhaven?" Now it will be. For three weekends in August
the Firehouse Performing Arts Center will host the play, which is loosely
based on Twain's visit to Fairhaven in 1895.
If you missed Mark Twain's visit to Fairhaven in then, now's the time to
catch him.
