My friend's wife had a liver transplant and enough time has passed
that they feel very confident there will be no rejection. Therefore I
gave him a copy of Twain's "Love Song." I'm familiar with Twain's
remarks in the "Austrian Health Factory" piece, but is there any other
known premise that I can share with my friend that also helps explain
his making fun of the liver ?
