EXCITING NEWS FOR 2014 FESTIVAL AND EVENT SUBMISSION!

Festivals & Events Ontario will be producing the 2014 edition of the Festivals & Events in Ontario Guide, in partnership with the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC). This one-of-a-kind consumer publication is the ultimate source for festival and event listings throughout Ontario.

This digest-sized, easy to carry, full-colour publication will have a 12-month shelf-life and will list festivals and events taking place from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015. Distribution of 250,000 copies is scheduled to begin early March 2014 and will be available for download in a web edition on the www.ontariotravel.net and www.festivalsandeventsontario.ca websites. The printed guides will be available for order at the 1-800-ONTARIO (668-2746) call centre, through Ontario Travel Information Centres, Destination Marketing Organizations and other distribution channels in the province as well as through the Festivals & Events Ontario office.

SUBMITTING YOUR EVENT / SELECTION CRITERIA

Get noticed by thousands of festival and event goers. Visit the OTMPC partner website at www.tourismpartners.com and submit or update your event listing(s) by DECEMBER 6, 2013. Follow these steps to access your account:
1.     Log-in to your account on www.tourismpartners.com
2.     Select Manage Organization from the tab on the right of the screen
3.     Select Manage Events and follow the steps to update or add events for your organization

MOBILE

Your event listing will be automatically added to our Discover Ontario mobile app. Centered around our festivals and events, the app makes it possible for the on the-ground traveler to discover nearby festivals and events, and to share with friends via Facebook and Twitter.

To ensure your event in the mobile app is inspiring to consumers and motivates them to view and attend your event, please provide us with an event image for each listing.

Simply e-mail your image(s) to: [log in to unmask] and include your organization name, event name and date, contact name and phone number.

A couple of requirements for your image:
         1.    A horizontal image 740x570 or larger in size (it will be cropped into these additional sizes: 740x250, 450x100, 370x285, 290x100)
         2.    An action shot or current brand campaign image of each event/festival (no company logos please)
         3.    The image must be legally yours and you are giving us permission to use it, please confirm this in your email when you send the image

If you do not have an account, please REGISTER first on www.tourismpartners.com. Once you have been approved, you can log-in and submit your events.

PLUS:

Please ensure that your event(s) are also submitted to the FESTIVALS AND EVENTS ONTARIO website at www.festivalsandeventsontario.ca by the DECEMBER 6, 2013 DEADLINE. This is ESSENTIAL as the statistical information you are requested to provide is considered in the selection process. Events MUST be submitted to BOTH the www.tourismpartners.com website and the www.festivalsandeventsontario.ca website.

To access your FESTIVALS & EVENTS ONTARIO profile, go to www.festivalsandeventsontario.ca and click 'Access your Profile'. Your Username will be the email of the Primary Contact at your organization. Your Password is confidential, and if you have forgotten it, please contact the office. We can help you reset it. Please be advised that you may also encounter a pop-up blocker. If you have problems bypassing the login, call us at 519-537-2226, and we will assist you!

All events submitted will appear on the www.festivalsandeventsontario.ca website in real time once they have been saved. Pending approval, they may also be listed on the www.ontariotravel.net website.

Please Note: Due to the large volume of events submitted each year and space limitations, not all DETAILED event submissions will be printed in the Festivals and Events in Ontario Guide. An objective, industry-experienced selection committee will determine which submissions are to be provided with detailed listing information.
