A Lens to the Past: The Andrews-Newton Digital Access Project
We are celebrating! Photographs say a thousand words and we have completed the digitization of 10,000 photographs to show off Ottawa’s stories. Explore the 1950’s through the lens of Bill and Jean Newton’s photography. Newton Photographic Associates documented
not only politicians, celebrities and special events, but the stories of everyday citizens of Ottawa.
These photographs are one of our steps towards making our holdings searchable through an online web portal that will be launched later in the year. Check out a photo example, “the poor tax payer” at our Facebook page:
