Hal, the Houghton Library has a photo of the Howells family, ca. 1875, showing Winifred at age 12, John Mead at 7, and Mildred at 3. We got permission from the Houghton and used it in our *Mark Twain's Letters,* Volume 6, page 678. You can find it online at marktwainproject.org.
