Hello,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to you on behalf of the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) to invite you to our 4th Annual Health Equity Summit on Monday, November 17th, 2014 from 9AM to 5PM at the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (33 Russell Street).

This Summit aims to create the foundations of a South Asian Health Strategy in Ontario with an emphasis on mental health, sexual health, chronic disease, and health care governance. The Summit will also target vulnerable populations by focusing on the key issues in men’s health, women’s health, youth health and senior health. It will include a panel presentation, breakout sessions, and a collaborative discussion concerning the strategy and address the topics of training, effective communication and outreach, policy and research, and funding and resources. We anticipate a total of 100 attendees, including health and social service providers, academics, policy makers, funders, and community members.

If you would like to attend, you can register using the attached form or through our online registration process within our website. More information regarding the event can also be found in our website:  https://event-wizard.com/healthequitysummit/0/welcome/

Our mission at CASSA is to facilitate the economic, social, political and cultural empowerment of South Asians by serving as a resource for information, research, mobilization, coordination and leadership on social justice issues affecting our communities. Your involvement with this event is greatly appreciated.

To register, or for general inquiries, please email Aysha Butt at [log in to unmask] or Sreedevi Krishnan at  [log in to unmask] or call  416-932-1359 (ext. 18). Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
