Hello colleagues,

 

The AAO Awards Committee had the pleasure of acknowledging the following 2015 recipients of awards at the AAO’s conference in London on May 29th:

 

v Alexander Fraser Award - Given to individuals who have contributed in a significant way to the advancement of the archival community in Ontario:  Daniel German.

 

v James J. Talman Award  - Given to individuals who demonstrate an outstanding level of imagination and innovation in contribution to the archival profession:  Heather MacNeil.

 

v Corporate Award - Given to organizations, corporations, or agencies of any kind that have been particularly supportive of archives and/or the archival community: 

 

·       County of Perth and City of Stratford (for their longstanding support of the Stratford-Perth Archives and the partnership on a new facility that will have its grand opening on Saturday, June 6th);

·       Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (for the ministry’s long-standing financial support of the AAO’s Archives Advisor Program).

 

v Institutional Award - For institutions that contribute significantly to the advancement of the archival community in Ontario, and for having demonstrated a significant level of innovation and imagination:  City of Thunder Bay Archives.
