During the Thanksgiving long weekend, UIT will be working on a necessary and major upgrade to the Oracle database.

As a result, ALL SIS systems will be down beginning Friday October 9th, 5:00pm until Tuesday October 13th, 1:00am. This includes:

REM (for students and staff)
YDML (including grade reports, enrolled and registered letters, etc.)
All SIS information in the student portal, including courses and financial portlets.
The York Courses web site
ADMW
MyFile
Student Financial Profile
YDA and Degree Progress Report
PES, COS, STAC etc.       
SIS reports and SLIM
Classlists
SISDSS and STACDSS
etc.

In addition, the SISDSS and STACDSS feeds will not be refreshed throughout the weekend. Systems which use these feeds will contain data from Thursday October 8th. These systems will continue to be available all weekend. However, data from October 9th, 10th and 11th will be added to the feed when it refreshes in the early morning of Monday October 12th. This includes:

Moodle
Passport York
EReports
Enterprise Data Warehouse
Library
Parking Services
Housing
Door Access
YUcard
CRM current students

Please note that due to the outage, the October fee payment deadline for students has been extended to Tuesday October 13th, 11:59pm.

It is important to note that various applications will be available intermittently throughout the weekend for testing by the project team. However, because of the nature of the upgrade, there is no guarantee that transactions will be permanently saved in the database. We strongly recommend that you do not attempt to log in to the applications until Tuesday morning. If the upgrade finishes earlier than 1:00am on Tuesday, a follow-up email will be sent.
