The conference kicks off with a great pre-conference workshop on April 26th, organized by the AAO’s Professional Development Committee:

Managing Small Archives (full-day 9am-4pm)

Instructor: Amanda Hill - Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County

This introductory workshop will guide participants on managing small archives. New archivists are often unprepared for the tasks involved in working in an archives, especially when they are the sole worker. Topics include: how to set up an archives, developing policies, managing volunteers, promoting the archives, and making the most of technology.

The conference workshop is available to all members of the AAO at a rate of $125.00 plus HST. Non-member rate is $200.00 plus HST.
