"Series Symposium" AAO Pre-Conference Event

Location and Time to Be Announced
The aim of this free event is to revisit and explore the concept of the series system as a method of archival arrangement, and to reflect on past experiences and lessons learned at institutions
where this system, or an iteration of this system, has been implemented in the last couple of decades.
The symposium will consist of a combination of presentations and informal panel discussions. Confirmed presentations/participants include Archivist of Ontario John Roberts, the Archives of
Ontario, Library and Archives Canada, and the City of Ottawa Archives.
We invite all archivists and institutions who have implemented the series system, as well as those who are interested in the subject to participate and attend.
The symposium is hosted by the Archives of Ontario and will be held in Toronto. The presentations will be in English only.

Événement pré-conférence de l’AAO – Symposium sur les séries

L’objectif de cet événement gratuit est de revoir et explorer le concept des séries comme base du système de classification, en abordant les expériences vécues et leçons apprises
par les institutions qui utilisent ce système ou un système similaire depuis quelques années.
Ce symposium combinera présentations et discussions informelles. Certaines présentations sont déjà confirmées, notamment celles de John Roberts, Archiviste de l’Ontario, des Archives
publiques de l’Ontario, de Bibliothèque et Archives Canada, ainsi que des Archives de la ville d’Ottawa.
Nous invitons donc les archivistes des institutions qui ont mis en œuvre un système basé sur les séries, mais également tous les archivistes qui s’intéressent au sujet, à participer
et assister à l’événement.
Le symposium est organisé par les Archives publiques de l’Ontario et aura lieu à Toronto.
Veuillez noter que l’événement se tiendra
en anglais seulement.
