Subject:	Call for Abstracts - Student Poster Competition

Hi Domenica,

My name is Simran and I work with the Ontario Climate Consortium. We currently have a call open for students to submit abstracts for a Student Poster Competition that we’re hosting at York University in May. I was wondering if you could circulate the text below to your students. Please let me know if there’s any additional information I can provide.

Thank you,
Simran

On May 11-12, the Ontario Climate Consortium (OCC) will be hosting the 5th Annual Ontario Climate Symposium at York University. This event is the premier forum for sharing cutting-edge climate change research and initiatives. The symposium will be featuring a Student Poster Competition that’s open to both undergraduate and graduate students. We’re inviting students in the natural and social sciences to submit poster presentations with a focus on climate change adaptation and/or mitigation. Benefits for student participants include: Networking opportunities with industry leaders, potential employers, senior researchers, and other students;
A complementary ticket to both days of the event;
The opportunity to showcase your research and its relevance to practitioners from a wide range of sectors; and,
An opportunity to win cash prizes ($1000 for the top submission, two $500 cash prizes for runner-ups).

The deadline to submit your abstract is April 21, 2017. If you have any questions about the Student Poster Competition, please contact Simran Chattha ([log in to unmask]).
