The annual Landmark peer-selection process organized by Tools of Change has designated two additional programs that promote active and sustainable transportation behaviors. (1) Capitol Hill In motion, a recent evolution of the individualized marketing approach used by King County, had remarkably high sign-up rates and delivered a solid 16% average reduction in drive-alone trips. (2) Chicago's Go Program, another Individualized Marketing program, increases use of transit and active modes of transport, successfully engages racially-diverse and traditionally marginalized communities, and has become self-sustaining. Tools of Change's peer selection process recognizes behavioral programs and approaches considered to be among the most successful in the world, based on impact, innovation, replicability and adaptability.
