That is shocking and sad news. Barry and I were the same age, both 64 year old youngsters. I was privileged to be on Barry's email list, and whenever he had something to get off his chest, I'd get a hilarious screed in my mailbox. Jim Zwick was on that list too since Barry's humor ran in the directions of politics and lunatics and how they invariably intersect. When his book, NEVER SHAKE HANDS WITH A WAR CRIMINAL, came out about 15 years ago he sent me a copy with a wonderful inscription. That book literally begins in the preface with the words "Mark Twain" and I recommend it to any anti-Imperialist who appreciates humor. Barry will be missed. I shall humbly suggest that the best way to honor his memory will be to perpetually seek tolerance, peace, common sense, humanity, and grace, and never ever be quiet in the pursuit.
