Project Analyst, Transplant (Contract)

TGLN is currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Project Analyst for our Transplant Department. Reporting directly to the Director, Transplant Policy and Programs, the Project Analyst's responsibilities include: supporting the implementation of the Transplant strategy and associated programs and working with different stakeholders to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of the Transplant program. Additionally, this role is responsible for the performance indicator analysis and development of business plans to facilitate the decision making and project development, analysis of the department's strategic needs, assess the business models and how the model is being incorporated into the organization, process definition and design, and the interpretation of the rules and requirements for the technical systems. This contract ends March 31, 2019.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  *   Plans, manages and monitors minor projects from concept through implementation.
  *   Creates and maintains project metrics on appropriate frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) as required.
  *   Develops, consolidates and utilizes project dashboards appropriate for the leadership team and Board reporting.
  *   Provides support to the Project Managers in planning, managing, and monitoring major projects from concepts through implementation.
  *   Develops, designs, and establishes reporting standards for the company.
  *   Works on overall project planning through reporting on project schedules and deliverables.
  *   Coordinates preparation internal and external reports through gathering, analyzing and summarizing data and information from the departments.
  *   Prepares presentation materials for management reports and presentations.
  *   Researches and prepares transplant working groups materials and supports the working groups' logistics.
  *   Evaluates and monitors the performance and efficiency of programs to ensure that program implementation is on target.
  *   Understands data and prepares analysis as required.
  *   Provides support to the departments by gathering and analyzing data in the establishment and/or maintenance of corporate business processes, procedures and policies.
  *   Assists with the preparation of a variety of reports covering budget status, forecast reports and other management reports.
  *   Assists in the initiation, conducting and coordinating of studies and analysis on resource allocation, financial program evaluation reviews; analyze programs to ensure that program financial goals and work plans are on target.
  *   Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience:

  *   University degree or college diploma in Science or Health Sciences.
  *   Minimum four (4) years direct work experience in health care or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
  *   Previous hospital experience is an asset.
  *   Communicate timelines and identified risks to timelines effectively.
  *   Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  *   Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  *   React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  *   Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  *   Strong written and oral communication skills.
  *   Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  *   Adept at conducting research on project-related issues and products.
  *   Experience preparing research reports to include analysis and recommendations.
  *   Ability to interpret, analyze, create, and apply concepts and approaches.
  *   Effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  *   General computer usage skills; word processing and electronic forms usage are required in addition to utilizing TGLN software applications.
  *   Demonstrated ability to us MS Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
