Doesn’t Twain have a piece about a dog in the doorway of a bar on the main street in Carson? (Not suggesting the dog be revived, but anything like this is likely enhanced if it includes a reason to visit a bar.) A couple of Twain car trips starting in Carson could be suggested—out to Virginia City and also over the hill to Tahoe. Perhaps even the route down to Esmeralda. Or a car trip around the area from out by the prison into town, and around his haunts in Carson. The fan-fiction novelizations of Twain in the Carson area could be a point of interest for a presentation. I think there are three decent ones.
