Subject: Preaching to the Choir 2023: Call for Papers (An International LGBTQ+ Psychology & Related Social Sciences Conference)
To: <[log in to unmask]>

Greetings CSRF!

I’m excited to share that we have officially launched the call for papers and abstract submission portal for Preach 2023!

Join us in the beautiful city of Toronto for a 2-day LGBTQ+ Psychology & Related Social Sciences conference to be held during Toronto Pride and in advance of the Canadian Psychological Association's Annual Convention (CPA).

Preaching to the Choir, affectionately referred to as "Preach," began in 2018 by hosting a 2-day event in Montreal, Canada. In 2018, we were joined by more than 115 delegates from 23 different countries who shared the latest in LGBTQ research within an intimate and collegial environment. We were supposed to meet again in 2020 in Prague but ended up hosting an online event due to the pandemic.

Our next Preach will be held on June 21 & 22, 2023, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the Sheraton Centre - the same venue that will host the Annual Canadian Psychological Association Convention from June 23-25, 2023!

CPA will also be hosting the 5th North American Correctional and Criminal Justice Psychology Conference over the same dates (June 23-25) - so there will be three conferences available in one venue, spanning from June 21 - 25, 2023!

Preach couldn’t be better timed!

Toronto Pride runs for the full month of June, but the MAIN events take place during the last week — which means that Preach is perfectly timed to let you take in the conference on Wednesday and Thursday and then participate in the three most active days of Pride - Friday, Saturday & Sunday - including all 3 of the parades (Trans, Dyke March & Main Parade!)

The block of accommodations is already available here: https://convention.cpa.ca/accommodations/
- In terms of location, the Sheraton Centre is not too far from where the pride festivities take place, but it is far enough that it will be quieter than hotels directly in the village area.
