This letter, apparently prompted by a notice from Bowen of a funeral,
offers a summary of their childhood in Hannibal.  It does not mention
for whom the funeral services were held.  Obviously someone significant
to their days growing up in Hannibal.  I could not find the letter from
Bowen to Clemens mentioned and am curious as to who the deceased was.
