Description: Disabled film archivist and archival accessibility advocate Michael Marlatt leads this Zoom-hosted collaborative workshop that examines the current state of accessibility within the archive for those who have a disability, chronic illness, or are neurodivergent. The focus is on users as well as archival staff. Lived experience, inclusive accessibility strategies, current literature, and resources will be shared with participants. Time will be divided between topics that include “programming,” “cataloguing,” “physical/digital archival spaces,” and “equitable hiring practises.” Michael will introduce the topic, share some insight and resources after which the floor will be open to discuss each topic as a group.
