Vicky Chick’s death last Sunday was already reported on this list. A good obituary has appeared on the UCL website:

At the bottom of the page you can add to a book of remembrance. Many of us will have personal memories of Vicky and you are requested to recount them there.

I got to know Vicky quite late, meeting her sometimes in the Rare Books and Music room at the British Library, where she surprisingly was not studying old economists, but manuscript music scores. We shared an interest in London sites with a HET connection, around Bloomsbury in particular. She made a lovely speech in St Pancras Old Churchyard at the launch my edition of Cantillon. She was always engaged, impressive and honest (sometimes too honest) and a good person.
