Big River Bindery has moved to the Greater Toronto Area to provide repair and restoration services for historic and modern books and family history documents. Big River Bindery has relocated to Scarborough from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The new location in Scarborough provides space for the equipment for conservation and restoration, and space for the public workshops in bookbinding and book arts techniques.

Utilizing methods and equipment that are hundreds of years old, the business returns books to their former glory from broken and tattered pieces. Services include conservation treatments, binding small sets of newly published books, boxes for housing of family heirlooms, repair of historic materials, and workshops in the craft of binding books, both in-person and online.

The business is having a Grand Opening on March 18 from 12:00 – 6:00 pm at its Scarborough location, for the public to see equipment and procedures performed at the shop and to try their hand at making a letterpress print. See more details at bigriverbindery.com
