Advanced Peer Leadership Training (APLT)
– Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 3:00pm - 7:30pm at Stong College 101 (MDR)
Register and attend this free leadership training opportunity at York University. Students who complete the training
will receive a certificate of participation. All details are below!
About APLT
The theme of the training is Leading with Purpose! Some of the topics we will explore include:

Sense of Purpose & Sustainable Leadership

Creating a Vision and Mission and Living Your Values

Avoiding Burnout
What we need from you
To receive a certificate of participation, you will be required to meet the following program requirements:

Participate in the full training (participants are asked to arrive on time and stay until the training ends).

Complete all pre-instructional activities, prior to the scheduled training, (30 minute commitment prior to the training)
using the eClass platform.

Complete all post training activities (30 minute commitment after the training) using the eClass platform.

This training is open to all Faculty of Health students and students affiliated with Calumet and Stong Colleges.

The completion of ELT and FPLT is NOT mandatory.

We invite you to join us at our Conversation Café at Calumet and Stong.
Whether it's to discuss the programs that we offer, programs that you would like to be offered, some creative and
inventive ideas you have or to discuss your dream vacation, hobbies, or your favourite TV show, movie or book, we think this is a great opportunity for our students, peer leaders, staff and faculty to start conversations in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
This is a drop-in event so we are happy to have you join us at any time you can.
