Time To Vote: Build Affordable Housing at York University
The Affordable Housing Committee at York, a committee started by student housing activists, has
been advocating and working towards having new affordable student housing developed for York University students. Our work is supported by the York Federation of Students (YFS), York University Graduate Students' Association (YUGSA), CUPE3903 and other unions
and organizations at York University.
Your support will help create more affordable student housing for York students.
We urge all York University undergraduate students to please take 30 seconds of your time and
vote 'YES' online at

Our target goal is to have new housing approved, funded and ready to break ground in two years. While this might not benefit you directly, as a project like this will take about 3 years before occupancy, this project will benefit future students at York University
and help set a precedent for the creation and operation of affordable student co-operative housing that will remain affordable in perpetuity in Canada.
All York University Undergraduate students, including Schulich, Osgoode, Glendon and Education
are eligible to vote.
York University requires at least 10% of all York undergraduate students to vote in the referendum
for it to pass, so please vote, and urge and remind others to vote.
