Dear shoe-list members, Mauro Boianovsky (1959-2024) was the first Latin American president of the History of Economic Society and he was *very* excited about having the first HES conference in Latin America this year. We would like Mauro to be present in Santiago. We would like to pay a tribute to him and honor our friend and colleague who has given so much to the community of historians of economic thought. We would like to have an informal session during the HES conference in Santiago where people can share their thoughts and memories of Mauro. Regardless of whether you are coming to Santiago or not, please feel free to send us a note with your thoughts and memories of Mauro as a scholar, a mentor, a friend. We will read some together. And we will give all the notes we receive to Mauro's son at the end of the conference.
