Dear AAO Members:
This is a reminder that Archives Awareness Week also coincides with the AAO’s annual fundraiser! This year we want our members to consider supporting the Shirley Spragge Bursary Fund, which provides financial assistance for students, new professionals, or archivists in financial need to cover the registration and travel to the AAO's annual conference.
Even with virtual conferences, the registration cost for students and precariously employed archivists can be prohibitive. The Shirley Spragge Bursary helps to make attending the conference a reality for those who otherwise would not be able, which enriches the conference experience for everyone by opening the door to new perspectives and ideas.
