David Tomlinson's note sparks this. That item came up during our meeting of the Twain Circle at last weekend's ALA meeting in San Diego. Our opinion was simply that the students showed the best possible use of a Mark Twain quote. We thought it might be appropriate to commend those students for their free thinking. I think it would also be wonderful to make them members of the Mark Twain Circle of America. Then we would push Twain's own agenda for questioning authority. If anyone still has a copy of the news story - send to me: Michael J. Kiskis Executive Coordinator Mark Twain Circle of American Empire State College 28 Union Avenue Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 Thanks.
