As coordinator of a new literary discussion list, Gaslight (see yesterday's announcement below), I am looking for an etext edition of Twain's "A double-barrelled detective story" and "The stolen white elephant". I am happy that _Pudd'nhead Wilson_ is now available in etext format because it has an early use of fingerprints as a manner of detecting criminous activity. Are there any other Twain stories in print or etext which I should know of which would meet the scope of Gaslight's discussion as defined below? Please respond to this email address: [log in to unmask] Thank you. Stephen Davies Mount Royal College, Calgary --------------------------Forwarded announcement------------------------ We are announcing _Gaslight_, a new list to encourage appreciation of short stories from the Victorian era and up to 1919. The stories chosen for discussion will be about ADVENTURE, MYSTERY and THE WEIRD. All stories will either be commonly available or will be made available through etexts by email.
