The Youth for Youth Health (YYH) project has four complementary objectives: The Global YYH Action Handbook The YYH 4-Year Plan The YYH Conference (Vancouver, Canada, March 20-24, 1995) Youth Participation in the Youth Health Assembly These elements of Youth for Youth Health will come together in March, 1995 in Vancouver, Canada. During this time, participants in the Youth for Youth Health Conference (YYHC) will develop their expertise and skills related to for-youth-by-youth health initiatives. At the same time, they will provide direction for the YYH Action Handbook and Four-Year Plan. YYHC participants will also exchange ideas with health and youth-service professionals attending the 6th International Congress on Adolescent Health and the Annual Meeting of the Society for Adolescent Medicine. Together, YYHC and these two professional gatherings form the Youth Health Assembly, a landmark event in involving young people positively in youth health issues. The Youth Health Assembly is co-sponsored by UNICEF, the Pan-American Health Organization and the World Health Organization.
