Information for Action The Information Highway and Population, Health and Nutrition Brown-bag seminar series This seminar series, organized by the APHA International Clearinghouse, focuses on the applications of computer networking and multi-media technologies for information sharing and dissemination, among organizations (particularly NGOs) involved in population, health and nutrition programs. The series is co- sponsored by USAID's Office of Health and Nutrition, World Bank PHN Department and Benton Foundation. This forum brings together computer and communications specialists and program implementors to raise awareness about the importance of electronic networking in developing countries and to promote partnerships to find ways to use the new information and communications technologies to increase access to information. Speakers will share examples of collaborative initiatives that are being tested in Asia, Africa, Latin America and North America. ********************************** January 24, 1995 12.30 - 2.00 p.m. World Bank, Room J1-050 701 18th Street, NW (metro: Farragut North or Farragut West) Martin Getzendanner World Bank, Operations Policy Department Introduction to the World Bank's World Wide Web and beyond Registration required by January 23, 1995 for admission to World Bank building For more information contact: Virginia Yee, APHA Clearinghouse Telephone 202-789-5686 Fax 202-789-5661 E-mail: [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask]
