My wife and I will be taking a trip on the Delta Queen this summer. Our trip
will take us along the Ohio River from Cincinnati to Pittsburgh and back to
Cincinnati. Several stops are planned and I give the itinerary below just in
case there are any Forum members out there who would have the time to meet
another Forum member face to face. While we cannot promise a short tour of
the boat, we would certainly try to accomodate anyone kind enough to pay us
a
call.

We also would be pleased to hear of used bookshops at any of the ports
listed.

Please remember that river conditions sometimes prevent the DQ from stopping
at a sheduled port and that there is no telephone for easy communication of
that rare fact. (On our first trip, we were amused by a passenger who was
annoyed at the fact that there was not enough water in the river for us to
make a scheduled stop. "NOT ENOUGH WATER," quoth he. "You can't fool ME with
that kind of double talk.")

August 5, 1995: Maysville, KY
August 7, 1995: Marietta, OH
August 8, 1995: Wellsburg, W (By God) V
August 9, 1995: Pittsburgh, PA (arrive approx. 9 am)
August 9, 1995: Leave Pittsburgh, PA (approx. 6 pm)
August 10, 1995: Wellsburg, W (By God) V
August 11, 1995: Marietta, OH
August 13, 1995: Cincinnati, OH (approx. 9 am)

Once again, we would be happy to meet anyone along our route and also would
be grateful for information on used bookstores in any of the listed towns.
