The HISTORY OF ECONOMICS SOCIETY is accepting submissions for its annual  
JOSEPH DORFMAN BEST DISSERTATION AWARD for dissertations in the history  
of economic thought.  In memory of Joseph Dorfman, historian of economic  
thought and Distinguished Fellow of the History of Economics Society, his  
family has endowed the permanent fund of the History of Economics  
Society.  The income from the endowment is used for the award. The  
deadline for submissions is December 1, 1995, for dissertations completed  
during the year prior to August 31, 1995.  Submissions should be sent to
