He is currently working on a new project dealing with humorous dialect depictions of German-Americans in the 19th century. Wednesday, November 1, 1995 "Writing the Gold Rush: Mark Twain and Bret Harte" Peter Stoneley, The Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland Dr. Stoneley is the Fall Research Fellow in Residence at Quarry Farm. Currently, he is working on a book which will explore the literary culture of the gold and silver rushes of 1849 and after.
